Steve Anderson

Steve Anderson is the director of community and government relations at Utah Valley University, a post that he has held since 2013. He oversees all city, county, state, and federal government relations, including working with the Utah Legislature to secure funding for the university. He also sits on a number of community boards and committees, including: chair of the Orem Community Hospital outreach council, American Fork and Utah Valley Regional Medical Center outreach council, Project Read board of directors, United Way of Utah County EveryDay Learners committee, Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce Education committee, and co-chair of the Orem/UVU Town Gown Advisory Committee. He also oversees the United Way Day of Caring, Community Advisory Council, Community Giving Campaign, and the Summer University golf tournament for UVU.

Steve has a bachelor’s degree in communication with an emphasis in public relations from Utah Valley University, a master’s of strategic communication and leadership from Seton Hall University, and a doctorate in interdisciplinary leadership from Creighton University. Steve and his wife Ashley have four daughters and live in Vineyard.
